The Cuban revolution has been an inspiration to the entire
world. Despite the strict blockade imposed by the United States,
which has caused shortages and hardship for the Cuban people, they have
remained strong and defied all attempts to turn back their revolution.

Even with the blockade in place, Cuba prioritized the needs of
the Cuban people who remarkably have a higher life expectancy than the
U.S., they have a literacy rate of 99%, much higher than the U.S., their
world class healthcare system is free to every Cuban and unlike the U.S.,
they have never attacked another country, instead they have sent doctors
and educators to help countries in need.
But on January 29, 2026, U.S. President Donald Trump declared
a “national emergency” and falsely proclaimed that Cuba constitutes “an
unusual and extraordinary threat” to the national security of the
U.S. Under this absurd declaration the U.S. is attempting to stop all
fuel from reaching the Island. With this act, they are trying to deny
Cuba the necessities of life.
This is reminiscent of the U.S./Zionist attack on Gaza.
Their attack was a genocide to try and wipe out the Palestinians.
They blocked food and medical supplies from coming into Gaza, and they cut
off their energy supplies. They are trying to do the same to
Cuba. Is this the new way the billionaire classes in the imperialist
countries will seek to maintain their obscene wealth and privilege, through
total destruction and genocide?
But just as the Palestinian people resisted and survived
against the military and economic might of the Zionists and their Western
imperialist backers, the Cuban people have made it clear that they will
also resist and survive.
As the U.S. tries to reverse the decline of its empire, it is
striking out in the most vicious ways. It is attacking the oil-rich
countries of Venezuela and Iran and trying to end the example of socialist
Cuba.
We must show our total solidarity by putting our maximum
effort into supporting the people of Cuba and opposing the criminal actions
of the U.S. government.
