U.S. Hands off Venezuela

UNAC statement 11/13/25

The United National Antiwar Coalition (UNAC) expresses its solidarity with the people of Venezuela as they face down the threat by U.S. imperialism to invade their country.  The U.S. billionaire class wants to control the Venezuelan oil and other resources and to replace its government with a puppet government beholden to Washington.  This threat is also aimed at Colombia, Nicaragua, Cuba and any country that dares to proclaim its independence from U.S. imperialism.

The Trump administration has sent a huge military force to the region including the largest aircraft carrier group in the world and thousands of troops.  It has been illegally bombing small boats from Venezuela and Colombia, claiming, without any evidence, that they are drug trafficking.  The U.S. wants control and dominance of all of Latin America.

Despite having a well-trained and professional military, the government of Venezuela has called on the people of the country to join the Bolivarian Militia and in weeks the militia doubled its size to more than 8 million armed people.  Additionally, Venezuela has called on allies to help defeat the U.S. sanctions and support them militarily against an invasion.  Russia, China and others have come to their aid.

This threat is a dramatic escalation of the U.S. hybrid war against Venezuela and threatens to bring war to the entire region and beyond.

We demand

U.S. Hands off Venezuela!

U.S. Out of Latin America!

No to War!

Join actions against U.S. threats to Venezuela during the week of November 15 – 23.
