Workers' Summit of the Americas
Tijuana,
Mexico, June 10-12, 2022
The
Organization of American States (OAS) has become an arm of US policy in the
Americas. The
State
department is organizing an OAS Summit from June 10 – 12 in Los
Angeles. They have refused to invite Cuba and some other
countries. As a result many countries have
refused to attend.
As an
alternative, there will be a Workers’ Summit of the Americas, which UNAC and
many other organizations support. Our conference is a place where the countries
that are besieged by the US (Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba, among others), and who
have been barred from participation in the Organization of the Americas (OAS}
Summit, will participate.
This Summit
will create a permanent forum of workers for solidarity and articulation of
anti-imperialist, anti-colonial and anti-patriarchal struggles in the Americas:
Latin America, the Caribbean and North America.
