Very successful Portland UNAC demonstration

Over 50 people rallied at Portland’s waterfront park to protest the bombing of Syria and say “Stop U.S. wars of aggression.” Speakers address the lies and propaganda by U.S. media in Syria, Eastern Ukraine, Yemen, North Korea, Venezuela and Honduras. Members of Workers World who traveled from the Federal Way Washington branch of Workers World waved large flags from each of the speakers when they addressed the crowd.

Many Portland groups and individuals attended the rally. The International League of Peoples' Struggle (PCHIRP, Gabriella and Anacbayan), Portland Central American Solidarity Committee, the May 1 coalition,Workers World PDX and Workers World Federal Way Washington were among the many groups that spoke denouncing U.S. Imperialism. The demonstration was sponsored by Workers World PDX.
