Stop the U.S. Wars Abroad and At Home!

UNAC Conference Calls for

Coordinated National Actions

October 2-11, 2015

And supports a range of other actions being organized throughout the country

Four hundred antiwar and social activists from 29 states and representing over 110 organizations spent the weekend of May 8-10 at a Secaucus, New Jersey national conference, with international guests from a score of countries, planning and preparing a series of local and national actions to keep our fighting movements in the streets.

The UNAC conference unanimously approved a broad and multi-faceted Action Plan aimed at engaging and uniting a broad range of groups in ongoing struggles against the seemingly never-ending wars across the globe and the deepening wars against working people, especially oppressed nationalities, at home. The theme of Black Lives Matter and the vibrant conference participation of anti-racist fighters across the country were integral to all of the conference proceedings.

The week of October 2-11, culminating on Sunday, October 11, was set aside for UNAC supporters and all others to join in initiating local and regional actions, ranging from marches and rallies to educational teach-ins, public forums, picket lines, vigils and all other appropriate activities aimed at the ongoing education and mobilization of the social forces needed to challenge the racist and war mongering government policies that bring misery, death and destruction to the world’s people.

Conference participants were well aware that other organizations and UNAC member groups would be organizing fall events, including during our October 2-11 focus week. In these instances UNAC saw all these activities as complimentary and urged its supporters to join together in common actions whenever possible.

Other Action this Fall by UNAC member groups and others include:

Justice or Else by the NOI

Fall action by the National Campaign for Non-violent Resistance and other

Fall actions by Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space

Fall Climate change, Drone and other actions will be posted on UNAC web site soon.

UNAC’s website will be listing and encouraging broad support for all antiwar and social justice fall events and especially those organized during the October 2010 national focus week that also marks the 14th year of the U.S.-backed and financed war in Afghanistan, the longest U.S. war in history.

Your endorsement and participation in this united week of nationally coordinated actions are requested. Please inform UNAC at UNACpeace@gmail.com
